ER2FOOD – Strategic support for facilitating the adoption of Energy and Resources efficiency as drivers for the technical and business development of Egyptian SMEs and start-ups of the FOOD sector

ER2FOOD aims to increase awareness about energy and resources efficiency solutions across the Egyptian food industries and relevant stakeholders through dedicated events, training groups and workshops.
ER2FOOD’s main objective is to provide strategic support and expert consultancy services to Egyptian MSMEs and start-ups in the food sector, particularly across the bakery value chain, to develop their entrepreneurial attitude towards a more circular and sustainable approach, to expand their businesses and to support new job opportunities by facilitating the adoption of energy and resources efficiency solutions as a key driver.
ER2FOOD also aims to promote resources and energy efficiency across the various industries, dissemination tools will thus be a main pillar in the project. An online portal dedicated to energy and resources efficiency; technologies, processes, standards, and best practices in the food sector will be established. Training material will also be available online for the wide industrial audience in the form of e-learning material and webinars. Additionally, ER2FOOD will establish a collective mark to be used by the companies selected in the project and by other food companies that will subscribe to the ER2FOOD memorandum for sustainability
